- 8 [1-ounce / 28-g each] squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] butter or margarine
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups [750 mL] sugar
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] vanilla
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped walnuts
- 2 cups [500 mL] miniature marshmallows
- 1 [1-ounce / 28-g] square semi-sweet chocolate, melted

- Melt together unsweetened chocolate squares and butter or margarine into the top part of a double-boiler, over hot water or into a microwave oven on medium, for 4 minutes; cool.
- Beat eggs until lemon-colored.
- Slowly add sugar, beating until thick, for approximately 3 minutes.
- Stir in cooled melted chocolate and vanilla.
- Fold in flour, until well combined.
- Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch [20-cm] square pans.
- Sprinkle all over with chopped walnuts.
- Bake into a preheated 350°F [180°C] oven, for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Sprinkle with miniature marsmallows.
- Broil under preheated broiler, until golden brown.
- Drizzle with melted semi-sweet chocolate square.
