Baked Apples with Mascarpone Cheese

  • 2 apples
  • 1 3/4 ounces [50 mL] honey
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] sugar
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
  • 1 3/4 ounces [50 mL] thick cream
  • 2 4/5 ounces [80 g] Mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] cinnamon
  • Preheat oven to 400°F [200°C / th. 6/7].
  • Peel, half lengthwise and core apples.
  • Arrange apple halves into an oven-proof dish; completely coat with honey, sprinkle with sugar and dot with butter.
  • Bake apples into preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes; transfer apples into a serving dish or individual dishes.
  • Pour cream into cooking juices.
  • Bring to a hard boil.
  • Coat apples with hot cooking juices.
  • Fill the center of each apple with Mascarpone cheese.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon.
