- 1/2 pound [227 g] dried apricots
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] drained crushed pineapple
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] icing sugar

- Pour a little water into a casserole; rinse then transfer dried apricots into casserole.
- Sprinkle all over with sugar.
- Cover casserole; simmer slowly, for approximately 30 minutes, until apricots are tender.
- Drain apricots; crush boiled apricots, into smooth paste.
- Stir in drained crushed pineapple, chopped nuts and icing sugar, until well combined.
- Leave to cool completely before using.
