- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup [115 g] margarine
- 1 cup [200 g] sugar
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 3 cups [420 g] flour
- 5 teaspoons [25 mL] baking powder
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 1 cup [250 mL] water
- Shortening or oil, for frying

- Well mix together eggs, margarine, sugar and brown sugar.
- Sift together flour, baking pwder and salt.
- Alternately with water, mix dry ingredients into eggs mixture starting and ending with dry ingredients.
- Refrigerate batter overnight.
- On the next day, roll then cut dough into doughnut shapes.
- Preheat some shortening or oil into a large casserole or a deep-fryer until realy hot.
- Deep-fry doughnuts, a few at a time into really hot oil until golden brown on both sides, turning once.
- Transfer onto papper toweling to absorb excess oil.
