- Approximately 1 L [4 cups] water
- 4 eggs
- Pinch of salt

- Bring water to a boil.
- Add pinch of salt.
- Break 1 egg into a saucer.
- Delicately yet briskly pour egg into boiling water.
- Cook for 3 minutes; remove egg using a slotted spoon.
- Repeat with remaining eggs.
