Chinese Chicken or Beef Fondue Broth

Comments: Serve along with vegetables bites, shellfish and/or pork thin slices and/or beef thin slices and sauces.

  • 4 cups [1 L] chicken or beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] dry Xeres [sherry wine]
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • Into a saucepan, mix together all ingredients.
  • Cover; bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Pour through a colander, into a metal fondue pot.
