Devil's Mushroom Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons [45 g] butter
  • 1/3 cup [80 mL] minced onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] red wine
  • 1 [10-ounce / 284 mL] can cream of mushroom soup concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cream [15% m.s.g.]
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] prepared mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Brown minced onion into melted butter.
  • Slowly stir in all remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring.
  • Serve hot.
