Chocolate Fondue

  • 9 ounces [255 g] best-quality milk chocolate bar pieces
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] instant coffee powder [optional]
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cream [whipping or light, the one your liver 'prefers']
  • Fruit bites, angel food cake bites, berries, and/or marshmallows

  • Banana slices
  • Clementine segments
  • Peeled stoned peach wedges*
  • Peeled cored pear wedges*
  • Cored unpeeled apple wedges*
  • Drained whole Maraschino cherries
  • Into a saucepan, mix together chocolate pieces, instant coffee powder and cream.
  • Stirring, completely melt chocolate pieces over really low heat.
  • Pour melted mixture into a chocolate fondue pot, over a candle.
  • Serve, along with fruit and/or cake bites, berries and/or marshmallows.
