Maple Syrup Fondue Made Easy

Servings: 1 3/4 cups [440 mL]

  • 1 cup [250 mL] maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] heavy cream [35% m.s.g.]
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter
  • Fruits such as: kiwi wedges, banana slices, pear wedges, apple wedges and clementine segments
  • Sponge cake cubes or ladyfinger cookie halves
  • Pour maple syrup and cream into a medium-size casserole.
  • Simmer over medium heat until a drop of maple syrup poured into cold water shapes into a hard ball, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Take away from heat; beat in butter, until creamy.
  • Pour into a small chocolate fondue pot or into individual serving bowls.
  • Serve, along with fruits pieces, sponge cake cubes, ladyfinger cookie halves...
