Chinese Beef Chicken Herb Fondue Broth

  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 [10-ounce / 284-mL each] cans beef consomme concentrate
  • 2 cubes chicken broth concentrate
  • 1 cup [250 mL] water
  • Pinch of oregano
  • Pinch of thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Pinch of celery salt
  • 1 cup [250 mL] red wine
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] mushrooms
  • Peel and cube potatoes; reserve.
  • Mix together all ingredients except potatoes and mushrooms; simmer for 1 hour.
  • After fifteen [15] minutes cooking time, add potato cubes; thirty [30] minutes later, add mushrooms.
  • Strain to remove all vegetables, before serving.
