- 1/3 cup [80 mL] whipping cream
- 8 ounces [227 g] semi-sweet chocolate, broken into fine pieces
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] Grand Marnier [optional]

- Into a medium casserole, bring whipping cream to just a boil.
- Lower heat to low.
- Add chocolate pieces and, if desired, 1 tablespoon [15 mL] of Grand Marnier.
- Whip until smooth.
- Remove from heat, taste and, if desired, mix in remaining Grand Marnier before pouring melted mixture into a chocolate fondue pot, over a candle..
- Serve immediately.
