Cheesy Pear Halves

  • 1 [28-ounce / 796-mL] can pear halves
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/3 cup [80 mL] vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup [80 mL] vinegar
  • 1/3 cup [80 mL] brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] chopped nuts
  • Arrange pear halves onto lettuce leaves [rounded side up].
  • Mix together cream cheese and drained pineapple.
  • Spread pear halves with mixture.
  • Mix together vegetable oil, vinegar and brown sugar; pour over cheese.
  • Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
