- 6 tablespoons [90 g] margarine or butter
- 8 tablespoons [120 mL] cornstarch
- 2 cups [500 mL] milk
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 3/4 cup [175 g] grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup [60 g] grated Mozzarella cheese
- 2 beaten eggs
- Breadcrumbs

- Melt margarine or butter over low heat.
- Well mix in cornstarch.
- Add milk, salt, grated Parmesan cheese, grated Mozzarella cheese and beaten eggs; stir until thick.
- Take away from heat; pour into a greased square pan.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Cut into squares.
- Dip each square into beaten eggs, then into breadcrumbs; repeat both operations once.
- Deep-fry squares into hot, 350°F [180°C] oil, until golden brown.
