- 1/4 cup [60 mL] balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] water
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] oregano
- Green lettuce leaves
- Red lettuce leaves
- 2 fresh pears, cored then sliced
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] chopped nuts or pecans

- Into a jar, vigourously shake together balsamic vinegar, water, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder and oregano.
- Arrange lettuce leaves onto a serving plate.
- Pour salad dressing over lettuce leaves.
- Arrange pear slices nicely over lettuce leaves.
- Serve, decorated with chopped nuts or pecans.
