- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] cornstarch
- 1 cup [250 mL] water
- 1 egg
- 1 cup [250 mL] corn oil
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] vinegar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] dry mustard
- A little paprika

- Heat together cornstarch and water until translucent.
- Into a round-bottom bowl, vigourously beat together egg and corn oil.
- Beat in vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, salt, dry mustard and paprika.
- Mix in cornstarch mixture.
- Leave to cool completely.
- Beat for 1 second, then refrigerate.
