Barbecue Beef Brochettes

These can also be grilled over hot barbecue rack.
IngredientsPreparation
  • 1 1/2 pounds [680 g] beef cubes
  • Vegetables pieces, to taste
Marinade
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] regular barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vinegar
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] water
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] oil
  • Into a saucepan, mix together all marinade ingredients; bring to a boil.
  • Pour boiling mixture over beef cubes, into a bowl.
  • Leave to marinate for 3 to 4 hours, or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F [230°C].
  • Alternately thread beef and vegetables cubes onto skewers.
  • Brown onto higher rack of preheated oven, for 10 minutes on each side.
