- 1 1/2 pounds [680 g] beef cubes
- Vegetables pieces, to taste
Marinade
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] ketchup
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] regular barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vinegar
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] water
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] oil

- Into a saucepan, mix together all marinade ingredients; bring to a boil.
- Pour boiling mixture over beef cubes, into a bowl.
- Leave to marinate for 3 to 4 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 450°F [230°C].
- Alternately thread beef and vegetables cubes onto skewers.
- Brown onto higher rack of preheated oven, for 10 minutes on each side.
