- 1 pound beef [454 g] cubes
- 1/2 cup [70 g] flour
- 1 [28-ounce / 796-mL] can tomatoes
- 1 cup [250 mL] or less water
- 1/2 sweet green pepper, membranes removed and seeded, diced [optional]
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons [60 mL] beef broth concentrate
- 1/2 tablespoon [7.5 mL] celery seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste

- Into a pressure cooker, brown then sprinkle beef cubes with flour.
- Brown stirring to brown beef cubes all over without sticking to the bottom of the cooker, until just golden.
- Immediately remove from heat and pour in tomatoes with juice scraping bottom of cooker.
- Back on stove, stir in water stirring until sauce is quite clear.
- Mix in sweet green pepper dices, minced garlic, beef broth concentrate and celery seeds, stirring until mixture starts to boil.
- Close lid, put on vent and cook for 20 minutes, at 15 pounds [6,8 kg] pressure.
- Cool down pressure cooker under cold running water to lower the pressure before opening.
