Chinese-Style Beef Strips

  • 1 slice beef round
  • Chopped sweet green peppers, membranes removed and seeded, to taste
  • Chopped onions, to taste
  • Small tomatoes, to taste
  • Sliced fresh mushrooms, to taste
  • Chopped celery, to taste
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons [30 mL] oil
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons [30 mL] soy sauce, to taste
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cold water
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cut steak and green peppers into small strips.
  • Cut onions and tomatoes into wedges.
  • Cut celery into thick slices.
  • Heat oil into a frypan; brown yet do not overcook together all vegetables.
  • Into a large clean frypan, brown beef strips before mixing in cooked vegetables.
  • Stir in soy sauce; also stir in cold water, or wait until almost ready to serve for more sauce.
  • Sprinkle with just a little salt, before serving.
