Deviled Pork Chops

Comments: Two [2] chops per serving ussually is enough; if desired, mix in some Tabasco sauce...; excellent served along with mashed potatoes or white rice.

  • 8 pork chops
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons [60 mL] lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] dry mustard
  • 2 heaping tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons [90 mL] chili sauce
  • 4 tablespoons [60 mL] catsup
  • 4 teaspoons [20 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] water
  • Remove almost all of fat from pork chops.
  • Into a bowl, mix together chopped onion, lemon juice, dry mustard, brown sugar, chili sauce, catsup and Worcestershire sauce; salt and pepper.
  • Marinate pork chops into mixture for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Arrange pork chops into a large oven-safe dish; pour marinade all over pork chops.
  • Pour in water, cover and bake into preheated oven, for 45 minutes.
