Corn Dogs

  • 1 cup [140 g] self-rising flour
  • 1 cup [250 mL] self-rising cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup [250 mL] milk
  • 12 weiners
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • Into a large bowl, combine self-rising flour and cornmeal, sugar, oil, beaten egg and milk.
  • Roll weiners into batter until well coated.
  • Deep-fry coated weiners into hot oil, until golden brown.
