Country-Style Barbecued Ribs

  • 10 country-style pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] minced garlic
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 [18-ounce / 512-mL] bottle barbecue sauce
  • Salt, to taste [optional]
  • Preheat oven to 250°F [120°C].
  • Arrange ribs into a shallow baking pan or roaster; salt if desired.
  • Spread minced garlic all over the ribs.
  • Top ribs with lemon slices.
  • Bake into preheated oven for approximately 2 hours, until tender.
  • Drain any grease and liquid.
  • Pour barbecue sauce all over the ribs.
  • Return to oven and bake 1 more hour, at 200°F [93°C] to 250°F [120°C].
