- 2 cups [280 g] flour
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] sugar
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1 1/2 cups [340 g] grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup [250 mL] plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup [60 g] melted margarine or butter
- 2 beaten eggs
Apple Cinnamon Butter
- 1/2 cup [115 g] softened butter
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] apple jelly
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] cinnamon

- Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Mix in grated Cheddar cheese.
- Into a clean bowl, beat together yogurt, margarine or butter and beaten eggs.
- Add yogurt mixture, all at once, into flour mixture.
- Stir just enough to dampen.
- Fill 12 large, greased muffin tins with mixture.
- Bake into a preheated 400°F [200°C] oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
Apple Cinnamon Butter
- Cream butter.
- Mix in apple jelly and cinnamon.
