- 1 cup [250 mL] buttermilk
- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter or margarine, melted
- 2 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups [350 g] all-purpose flour
- 1 cup [200 g] sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons [12.5 mL] baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] fresh or dry-pack frozen blueberries

- Preheat oven to 400°F [200°C].
- Into a small bowl, mix together butter milk, melted butter or margarine and beaten eggs until well blended.
- Into a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Make a well in the middle of dry ingredients; pour in liquid mixture.
- Mix just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
- Fold in blueberries.
- Spoon dough into muffins molds, up to 2/3rds of muffin molds.
- Bake muffins into preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes,until golden on top and a toothpick comes out clean from the middle.
- Unmold immediately and serve hot, or leave muffins to cool onto wire racks.
