Honeyed French Toasts

Honey Sauce
  • 1 cup [250 mL] honey
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] lemon juice
French Toasts
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] milk
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 8 slices bread
  • Butter
Honey Sauce
  • Combine honey, butter and lemon juice.
  • Heat.
French Toasts
  • Lightly beat together beaten eggs, milk, honey and salt.
  • Melt some butter into a frypan.
  • Dip bread slices, one at a time, into beaten eggs mixture.
  • Fry into melted butter until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve, along with warm honey sauce.
