Morning Cereals Dish

  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] water
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] freshly squeezed lemon or orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] maple syrup or liquid honey
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] finely chopped dates or raisins
  • 1 large apple, grated
  • Chopped nuts or seeds, to taste
  • The night before, soak rolled oats into water.
  • The next day, mix in all remaining ingredients.
  • Thoroughly mix and serve.
