- 1/4 cup [60 mL] rolled oats
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] water
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] freshly squeezed lemon or orange juice
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] 2% milk
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] maple syrup or liquid honey
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] finely chopped dates or raisins
- 1 large apple, grated
- Chopped nuts or seeds, to taste

- The night before, soak rolled oats into water.
- The next day, mix in all remaining ingredients.
- Thoroughly mix and serve.
