- 1 cup [250 mL] raw brown rice
- 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
- 2 onions, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 ribs celery, diced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- Chopped parsley
- Salt, to taste
- Cayenne pepper, to taste
- 3 or 4 green onions, sliced

- Boil brown rice until done; drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef; set aside.
- Into the same frypan, saute all vegetables except green onion slices, until tender.
- Add reserved browned ground beef back to pan.
- Mix in reserved boiled brown rice.
- Season to taste; mix in green onion slices.
