Brown Rice Dressing

  • 1 cup [250 mL] raw brown rice
  • 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 ribs celery, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • Chopped parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 3 or 4 green onions, sliced
  • Boil brown rice until done; drain and set aside.
  • Brown ground beef; set aside.
  • Into the same frypan, saute all vegetables except green onion slices, until tender.
  • Add reserved browned ground beef back to pan.
  • Mix in reserved boiled brown rice.
  • Season to taste; mix in green onion slices.
