Granola Cereals

  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] water
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] salt
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] raisins
  • Sprinkle rolled oats into a large shallow pan.
  • Combine brown sugar, vegetable oil, water, cinnamon and salt.
  • Stir into rolled oats; mix well and distribute evenly into pan.
  • Bake into a preheated 300°F [150°C] oven for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, mix in raisins and cool completely.
  • Store into a tightly covered container.
