- 6 tablespoons [90 g] butter
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 apples [Cortland], peeled, cored and chopped
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] thyme
- 4 teaspoons [20 mL] chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] wine vinegar
- 1 cup [250 mL] dry bread cubes
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped pecans
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Melt butter; brown chopped onion.
- Mix in chopped apples, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper; cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in wine vinegar and mix in bread cubes and chopped pecans.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Leave to cool before stuffing.
