- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 pound [113 g] ground beef
- 12 slices bacon
- 6 large vegetarian wieners
- 6 hot dog buns
- Pepperoni slices, halved
- Any grated cheese, to taste

- Preheat oven broiler.
- Stirring, brown together chopped onion and ground beef into a frypan.
- Meanwhile, fry bacon slices and boil vegetarian wieners into boiling water.
- Drain then turn 2 slices of bacon all around each wiener.
- Transfer wieners into hot dog buns; arrange pepperoni slice halves on each side of wieners.
- Top wieners with ground beef mixture; sprinkle to taste with grated cheese.
- Transfer under preheated broiler for 5 minutes to brown buns, and serve.
