- 6 cups [1.5 L] rolled oats
- 1 cup [250 mL] sesame seeds
- 1 cup [250 mL] sunflower seeds
- 1 cup [250 mL] wheat germs
- 1 cup [250 mL] coconut flakes [optional]
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped nuts
- 1 cup [250 mL] nonfat dry milk
- 1 cup [250 mL] safflower oil
- 1 cup [250 mL] honey
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] vanilla extract
- 1 cup [250 mL] raisins

- Preheat oven to 300°F [150°C].
- Into a large bowl, mix together rolled oats, sesame and sunflower seeds, wheat germs, coconut flakes if desired, chopped nuts and nonfat dry milk.
- Into a blender container, combine safflower oil, honey and vanilla extract.
- Process until well blended.
- Mixing well, pour mixture into dry ingredients.
- Spread mixture onto 2 large baking pans.
- Brown into preheated oven, for approximately 1 hour, stirring frequently.
- Remove from oven; leave to cool completely, before mixing in raisins.
- Store into airtight containers.
