- 9 cooked lasagna noodles
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 sweet green pepper, membranes removed and seeded, diced
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Italian spices
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] chili powder
- 2 or 3 cloves garlic
- 2 cups [500 mL] low fat cottage cheese
- 1 package fresh spinach, washed and trimmed
- 2 cups [500 mL] slim Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste

- With culinary robot, mix cottage cheese, spinach, egg, 1/2 cup [125 mL] Mozzarella cheese, salt and pepper.
- Place 3 lasagna noodles in bottom of dish; cover with cheese mixture.
- Place in oven 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix together tomatoes, tomato paste, chili sauce, onions, peppers and spices.
- Simmer 20 minutes.
- Cover cheese mixture with 3 lasagnas, tomato sauce, 3 last lasagna noodles and remainder of Mozzarella cheese.
- Brown in oven ['au gratin'].
