Classic Fettucini Alfredo

  • 8 ounces [227 g] fettucini
  • 1/2 cup [115 g] shredded Parmesan cheese, more to serve if desired
  • 5 tablespoons [75 mL] heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons [45 g] butter
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pepper
  • Boil pasta noodles according to package instructions.
  • Drain and transfer noodles back into casserole.
  • Add shredded Parmesan cheese, cream and butter.
  • Stir to coat pasta noodles.
  • Transfer into a serving dish; sprinkle with nutmeg and pepper.
  • Serve, sprinklee with additional shredded Parmesan cheese if desired.
