- 8 ounces [227 g] macaroni or fusilli
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vegetable oil
- 1 pound [454 g] chicken, pork or beef, cut into small cubes [even ground beef]
- 2 cups [500 mL] broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 red or green pepper, cut into strips
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] cornstarch
- 1 cup [250 mL] chicken broth [beef broth if using beef]
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] ketchup

- Cook pasta.
- Heat oil in a wok and sauter meat until golden.
- Remove meat and keep warm.
- Sauter broccoli, carrot and pepper while stirring, until vegetables are just tender.
- Dilute cornstarch in broth, add garlic, soya sauce and ketchup.
- Pour over vegetables, cook while stirring, until thickening.
- Add meat and warm pasta.
