- 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] lukewarm water
- 1 [1-tablespoon / 15-mL] pouch active dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] milk
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] oil
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 4 cups [560 g] flour

- Melt sugar into lukewarm water; mix in yeast.
- Leave to rest for 10 minutes.
- Mix egg into yeast mixture.
- Heat milk.
- Mix in oil, salt and egg/yeast mixture.
- Mix into flour; knead.
