Sausage Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

  • 1 unbaked pizza crust
  • 1 cup [250 mL] pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cleaned, sliced mushrooms
  • 2/3 pound [300 g] sliced Gorgonzola cheese
  • 3 mild Italian sausages, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 sweet red pepper, sliced
  • Preheat oven to 500°F [260°C].
  • Arrange pizza crust onto an oiled pizza sheet.
  • Spread crust with pizza sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and mushroom slices.
  • Top with Gorgonzola cheese slices.
  • Bake into preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Garnish first with chopped Italian sausage and then with sweet red pepper slices.
  • Bake for 5 to 6 minutes more.
