- 2 pounds [1 kg] lean ground beef
- 1 pack hot and spicy seasoning
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] water
- Taco sauce [medium or hot]
- Pepperoni slices, to taste
- Salami slices, to taste
- 1 sweet green pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, into rings
- Canned sliced mushrooms, drained
- 14 ounces [400 g] grated cheese [18% m.s.g.]
- 5 pita breads

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Brown ground beef into a frypan.
- Meanwhile, mix together seasoning and water; pour over browned ground beef.
- Spread pita breads with taco sauce.
- Garnish each pita bread with ground beef mixture, pepperoni slices, green pepper slices, onion rings and mushroom slices.
- Sprinkle all over with grated cheese.
- Bake into preheated oven, for approximately 20 minutes.
