Herb Breakfast-Pizza
Comments: Delicious served along with a fresh fruit salad, or a freshly squeezed fruit juice.

  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped onion
  • 6 ounces [170 g] really finely chopped with a knife ham or drained then crumbled cooked mild sausages
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 2 cups [500 mL] biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cold water
  • 1 cup [225 g] grosly grated Swiss or Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon [3.75 mL] freshly chopped dill
    or
    1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] dried dill
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] freshly chopped chives
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Melt butter or margarine into a frypan; soften chopped onion.
  • Mix in finely chopped ham or crumbled mild sausage meat and chopped tomato.
  • REmove from heat and reserve.
  • Into a bowl, mix together biscuit dough and cold water to get a smooth dough.
  • Evenly presser pizza dough onto a greased 12-inch [30-mL] pizza plate folding at least 1/2 inch [1.3 cm] dough all around the outside of the plate shaping a rim.
  • Evenly spread meat and tomato mixture over the dough leaving the rim free.
  • Sprinkle mixture all over with grated Swiss or Cheddar cheese.
  • Into a clean bowl, beat together milk, eggs, salt, pepper and freshly chopped dill or dried dill until foamy.
  • Pour mixture all over grated cheese then sprinkle all over with freshly chopped chives.
  • Bake into preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown all over, and serve.
