Cheesy Chicken Whites

  • 4 chicken whites
  • Butter
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] oil
  • Chopped green pepper, membranes removed and seeded [to taste]
  • Chopped onion [to taste]
  • 10 fresh mushrooms, cleaned
  • 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons [5 to 7.5 mL] garlic powder
  • Grated Cheddar cheese, to taste
  • Melt a little butter into a large frying pan; brown chicken whites.
  • Into a small frying pan, saute together chopped green pepper, chopped onion and mushrooms into hot oil until tender, mixing in garlic powder.
  • Arrange chicken whites into a casserole; evenly spread green pepper/onion mixture over chicken whites.
  • Sprinkle all over with grated Cheddar cheese.
  • Cover and reheat until cheese has melted and chicken is hot, and serve.
