- 4 chicken whites
- Butter
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] oil
- Chopped green pepper, membranes removed and seeded [to taste]
- Chopped onion [to taste]
- 10 fresh mushrooms, cleaned
- 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons [5 to 7.5 mL] garlic powder
- Grated Cheddar cheese, to taste

- Melt a little butter into a large frying pan; brown chicken whites.
- Into a small frying pan, saute together chopped green pepper, chopped onion and mushrooms into hot oil until tender, mixing in garlic powder.
- Arrange chicken whites into a casserole; evenly spread green pepper/onion mixture over chicken whites.
- Sprinkle all over with grated Cheddar cheese.
- Cover and reheat until cheese has melted and chicken is hot, and serve.
