- 3 bacon slices, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] flour
- 1 cup [250 mL] milk
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] curry powder
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] very finely minced cooked chicken
- 1 cup [250 mL] grated Old Cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup [250 mL] breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil

- Brown chopped bacon; add butter and brown chopped onion; mix in flour, milk and curry powder.
- Mix in cooked minced chicken and grated cheese; salt and pepper.
- Refrigerate mixture for approximately 1 hour; shape into patties.
- Dip each patty into beaten eggs, then into breadcrumbs.
- Brown patties, on both sides, into hot vegetable oil; drain onto paper toweling.
- Serve.
