Chicken Brochettes with Sauce

  • 6 chicken skewers
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] vinegar
  • 2 cups [125 mL] catsup
  • 2 cups [500 mL] water
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup [250 mL] finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] salt
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] pepper
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] butter
  • Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • In a saucepan, mix together all sauce ingredients; simmer for 15 minutes, over low heat.
  • Preheat oven to 325°F [163°C].
  • Brush chicken skewers with some of the sauce; bake into preheated oven for 15 minutes on each side.
  • Meanwhile, bring remaining sauce to a boil; boil for a few minutes.
  • Serve brochettes, along with remaining hot sauce.
