Blue Grape Jam

Comments: Easy to do, delicious on toasts, waffles or pancakes.
  • Blue [Concord] grapes, washed
  • Sugar [same weight as grape skins]
  • Sterilized jars
  • Delicately press* grapes, to separate the skin from the fruit; weight skins and reserve into a bowl.
  • *Just press each grape between two fingers and it's done!
  • Transfer meat into a casserole; simmer for approxiamtely 10 minutes.
  • Press through a sieve, to remove all seeds.
  • Transfer puree back into casserole; add skins.
  • Cook for 10 minutes more.
  • Stir in sugar; cook for at least 20 minutes.
  • Cool; pour into sterilized jars.
