- 1 cup [250 mL] water
- 4 cups [1 L] fresh cranberries
- 1 3/4 cups [440 mL] sugar
- Melted paraffin

- Bring water to a boil; add cranberries.
- Cover casserole; cook over low heat until cranberries burst, for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mix in sugar; cook for 5 to 10 minutes more, without stirring.
- Pour into stoneware or glass jars.
- Leave to cool before delicately pouring in some melted paraffin on top; seal jars.
