- 12 sweet green peppers
- 12 sweet red peppers
- 3 onions
- Boiling water
- 2 cups [400 g] sugar
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] salt
- White vinegar

- Seed and remove membranes from bell peppers; peel onions.
- Grind bell peppers and onions into a meat grinder.
- Cover mixture with boiling water; set aside for 10 minutes.
- Drain well; transfer into a saucepan.
- Sprinkle with sugar and salt; completely cover with vinegar.
- Simmer for 20 minutes; pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
