- 12 tomatoes
- 12 apples
- 12 peaches
- 12 pears
- 8 onions
- 2 sweet green peppers
- 4 cups [1 L] white vinegar
- 2 pounds [1 kg] brown sugar
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] salt
- 1 pack marinade spices, tied into cottoncheese cloth

- Peel and dice tomatoes and onions.
- Peel, core or stone then dice apples, peaches and pears.
- Seed, remove membranes then dice sweet green peppers.
- Transfer into a large casserole.
- Mix in white vinegar, brown sugar, salt and marinade spices.
- Bring to a boil; simmer for 75 minutes.
- Pour hot into hot sterilized jars, and seal.
