Grape Jam

  • 8 cups [2 L] red of other fresh grapes
  • 6 cups [1.2 kg] sugar
  • Hot sterilized jars, covers and rings
  • Well rinse then pat dry and half grapes removing all seeds.
  • Mash then transfer grapes into a large casserole.
  • Mix in sugar.
  • Bring to a boil and boil for 25 minutes.
  • Immediately press through a sieve then pour into hot sterilized jars.
  • Seal jars.
  • Leave to cool completely, then tighten rings if needed.
