- 8 cups [2 L] red of other fresh grapes
- 6 cups [1.2 kg] sugar
- Hot sterilized jars, covers and rings

- Well rinse then pat dry and half grapes removing all seeds.
- Mash then transfer grapes into a large casserole.
- Mix in sugar.
- Bring to a boil and boil for 25 minutes.
- Immediately press through a sieve then pour into hot sterilized jars.
- Seal jars.
- Leave to cool completely, then tighten rings if needed.
