- 1/2 pound [227 g] raisins
- 1 3/4 pounds [794 g] apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1 orange, peeled, white skin removed, seeded and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups [300 g] sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] whole cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] cinnamon
- Still hot small sterilized jars with lids

- Mix and bring together all ingredients to a boil.
- Leave to boil for 30 minutes, stirring from time to time.
- Pour hot mixture into hot sterilized jars; seal immediately.
- Leave to cool completely, then check seals.
