Swiss-Style Quiche

  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] cooked ham, finely chopped
  • 1 [9-inch / 23-cm] pastry shell
  • 2 cups [450 g] grated Canadian Swiss cheese
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 1 cup [250 mL] cream [15% m.s.g.]
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] grated Canadian Parmesan cheese
  • Lightly press chopped ham into pastry shell.
  • Sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese.
  • Beat together beaten eggs, chopped onion, Dijon mustard and salt.
  • Slowly pour in cream.
  • Pour over grated Swiss cheese, into pastry shell.
  • Sprinkle all over with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake into a preheated 375°F [190°C] oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until firm.
