- 1 cup [250 mL] boiled broccoli flowerets
- 1 cup [250 mL] boiled cauliflower flowerets
- 1 or 2 boiled carrots, sliced
- 1 leek or onion, sliced
- 1 unbaked pastry shell
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] heavy cream [35% m.s.g.]
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 pound [113 g] grated Gruyere cheese

- Arrange broccoli and cauliflower flowerets, carrot and leek or onion slices into pastry shell.
- Into a bowl, beat together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper and grated Gruyere cheese.
- Pour over vegetables, into pastry shell.
- Bake into a preheated 350°F [180°C] oven, for approximately 45 minutes.
