- 3/4 cup [175 g] grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon [8.75 g] flour
- 1 [9-inch / 23-cm] baked pie shell
- 1 1/4 cups [310 mL] minced onion
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter or oil [30 mL]
- 3 beaten eggs
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] grated Cheddar cheese

- Mix together 3/4 cup [175 g] grated Cheddar cheese and flour.
- Sprinkle mixture all over the bottom of baked pie shell.
- Softened minced onion into hot butter or oil.
- Sprinkle softenend minced onion over cheese/flour mixture.
- Beat together beaten eggs and milk.
- Salt and pepper.
- Pour into pie shell, over onion mixture.
- Sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons [30 g] grated Cheddar cheese.
- Bake into a preheated 350°F [180°C] oven for 30 minutes, until set.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
