Fried Rice
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cooking oil
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] fresh green peas
  • 1 pound [454 g] cooked pork cubes or shrimp [optional]
  • 2 cups [500 mL] boiled rice
  • Soy sauce
  • Dash of black pepper
  • Pour oil into a wok or a deep frypan.
  • Add chopped carrot, chopped onion and green peas.
  • Stir-fry until tender, yet still crunchy.
  • Mix in pork cubes or shrimp.
  • Mix in boiled rice, then sprinkle to taste with soy sauce.
  • Pepper and serve.
